Mapfest 2014 – A proper music festival on your doorstep!

Music? Stand up? Amazing Live Performances? Fantastic Venues? FREE?? For that, there’s Mapfest.

Doncaster has its very own festival, it’s back for the third year running, and this time it’s bigger and better! On August 29th/30th Doncaster becomes home to a fantastic array of music; Blues, Jazz, Rock, Acoustic Sounds, Punk, Indie, Irish, Folk, Heavy Metal and Tribute Acts as well as Spoken Word and Stand Up Comedy. There are twenty venues hosting different stages featuring over 150 acts across the town throughout the two days and there is something for everyone no matter your personal tastes.

We at Out Magazine are proud of our town. We have a magazine and website that goes on about it. However, having something like Mapfest happening in Doncaster makes doing what we do easy. The organisers are bringing something incredibly unique to Doncaster and have done for three years now; a festival dedicated to live music, bringing people together, a weekend of fun and all sorts for people to do…and it’s all free. There are 20 venues working with the Mapfest team from the amazing Diamond Lounge, to the newly refurbished Leopard to the Out Magazine sponsored WoolPack stage, and there’s two days worth of entertainment lined up for you…
